How about Marv Johnson with two top Motown Northern Soul HOLLAND ONLY also appeared as album tracks on the almost as elusive, specially rush-pressed “I’ll Pick A Rose For My Rose” UK Stml11111 album, marketed to ride on the back of his surprise UK hit single. Top side is a killer take on the highly sought-after Herman Griffin - 1962 Motown recording..given a 1969 makeover and boy how it shimmers with Motown class and obvious Northern Soul potential - a future Monster if I ever heard one. On the flipside Dutch Motown lift another album track from “Rose” a fabulously reworking of The Miracles 1961 recording.
