Anyone know if Someone To Fulfill My Needs is kosher? It's the same cat no as the first issue of One Little Dance and the scan I saw looked iffy but Jeff Lemlich thought it was proper and got his from the label owner so it sounds OK.

What makes you think it might not be legit?  Mine also came from someone involved with the label and it looks like all the other records I have on Deep City.

I got mine in the late 80s early 90s ...... as said above looked like all the other deep city 45s I had...wish I hadn't sold them to "Fingers" who was collecting the label a few years ago....especially miss having "someone to fulfill my needs" , betty wright + the Helen smith lp

I'm sure it is then, i just wondered about them using the same number on two different releases. Funnily enough Boba sent one back to a dealer cause he wasn't sure then realised he'd probably made a mistake

Are you saying the catalog number is used twice?  What's the other release with the same number?

The record I have is:

Deep City 2367 Moovers "One little dance" / "Someone to fulfill  my needs".

The Moovers "One little dance" (which first came out on Brent as far as I recall) dunt do owt for me, makes me wanna go to the bar.

However it's the flip "Someone to fulfil my needs" which ticks all my boxes.

Mean, moody and rather magnificent.

And this is for you Frank....

Helen Smith album ouch!
