Popular Post Pete S Posted July 9, 2014 Popular Post Posted July 9, 2014 I am looking for offers on a super-rare original of JOHN & THE WIERDEST - CAN'T GET OVER THESE MEMORIES / NO TIME - TIE 101. One of the greatest double siders ever. Okay let me explain the condition in details. It's a record which looks like it never saw a sleeve in it's life therefore it's covered in hundreds of little marks - not scratches - but marks that make both sides crackle on the quiet intros. Once it kicks in, the sound quality is absolutely fine. Visually G+ to VG.I intended to put sound clips of both sides up but every time I record No Time, the record plays perfectly but the recording keeps skipping so I'm working on that. There should be a full sound clip of Can't Get Over These Memories below. I'll consider offers over £1000 for this one, but I'm not sure how long I'm going to run it for just yet. Probably a week. One of the few copies of this to ever come up for sale. 5

Pete S Posted July 10, 2014 Author Posted July 10, 2014 Pete what is the auction at pse. How long do you plan to run itself It's at £1200 but someone's just said they'd go £1250 so it's £1250 now. Am thinking maybe next tuesday or wednesday but I'll make a definite announcement tomorrow if possible.
Pete S Posted July 15, 2014 Author Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) and the AS in the circle is scratched in not pressed Ted, there is no AS stamp as far as I can see, it might read ZS but it's so feint it's very hard to make out. I think it is ZS, in a circle. The stamp on the bootleg is in a completely different place to this. The main giveaway of the bootleg is that if you hold it to the light you can see through it. You can also hear the record being recorded onto fresh vinyl on the bootleg. Also the fact they look new and this one looks 50 years old. Anyone with any knowledge of records could look at that scan and see that it's an original. Edited July 15, 2014 by Pete S 1
