Some great originals here folks.  My EX grade is most people’s M- so buy with confidence.  I don’t use a Mint grade, sometimes I will use a Near Mint if it looks unplayed or new.

Sorry, can’t reserve records.

Look out for some very interesting lists from me coming up J

ORTHEIA BARNES — TAKE MY HEART AND SOUL — CORAL                                                         NM           60 SOLD

Stunning issue copy — best condition I’ve ever seen on this. Small drill hole in label.

TONY MICHAELS — I LOVE THE LIFE I LIVE — GOLDEN WORLD DEMO                                 NM           100

An amazing copy, immaculate white demo, no upgrade ever needed

DON THOMAS — COME ON TRAIN — NUVJ                                                                                             EX+         100

Original pink label issue in beautiful shape

PHIL FLOWERS — WHERE DID I GO WRONG — DOT DEMO                                                          EX+         50

Lovely white demo in company sleeve, 100mph stormer

CARL CARLTON — NOTHIN’ NO SWEETER THAN LOVE — GOLDEN WORLD DEMO        EX            100

Another fabulous copy, plays mint, sparkling white labels…one inaudible light mark stops it being NM

KENNY CARTER — DON’T GO — RCA DEMO                                                                                                            NM           60

I doubt if this record has ever been played before.  Spotless white demo.

TITUS TURNER & HIS TEAR TONES — SPORTIN’ TOM — BELL DEMO                                      NM           60 SOLD

New one on me — R & B thumper circa 1965

THE BLEU LIGHTS — I GUESS I’M IN LOVE — BAY SOUND                                                               NM           50 SOLD

Nice male vocal group dancer.  Yellow label.

LEE ROGERS — SOCK SOME LOVE POWER TO ME — PREMIUM STUFF                                   EX            70 SOLD

Belting Detroit dancer, nice stock copy, immaculate labels too for a change

THE PERIGENTS — LOVE ON A RAMPAGE — MALTESE                                                                   EX            60 SOLD

At last, a copy that doesn’t hiss!  Awesome Detroit mover.  Red issue.

BOBBY SHEEN — DOCTOR LOVE / SWEET SWEET LOVE — CAPITOL                                     VG+         50

First of all, it’s a definite original.  Secondly, it looks a bit rough.  Dr. Love side has label damage from being stuck to another record by the looks of it.  Now the good news.  Both sides play great.  Trust me.

OTIS CLAY — THE ONLY WAY IS UP — ECHO                                                                                         EX            60 SOLD

Right, like practically every copy, it has a little light noise in one channel, this fades out as the record gets going.  Otherwise, near perfect.

EMANUEL LASKEY — I’D RATHER LEAVE ON MY FEET — DT                                                       EX            175

Green label, fantastic copy of this 70’s dancer

CLAUDE HUEY — WHY WOULD YOU BLOW IT — GALAXY DEMO                                                EX            150

Fantastic copy, rarely turns up nowadays

SISSIE HOUSTON — DON’T COME RUNNING TO ME — KAPP DEMO                                         EX            70

Fantastic version, midtempo genius — A side label has some ageing spots, B side pure white

ERNEST MOSLEY — STUBBORN HEART — LA CINDY PRESSING                                                 EX            30 SOLD

This is the bootleg but if anyone wants to give me 30 quid for it..

THE CHARADES — I DON’T WANT TO LOSE YOU — MGM                                                               EX            50 SOLD

Rare black stock copy, only downgraded because it has some paper scuff type marks not affecting play. Drill hole in label. Ten times harder than the demo though.

FABULOUS DOWNBEATS — LIFE GOES ON — POISON RING                                                          EX            50

Brilliant oldie, perfect as a lesser known spin

GARLAND GREEN — GIRL I LOVE YOU — REVUE                                                                                  EX            80 SOLD

With It Rained 40 Days And Nights on the flip.  Both sides have small scuffs but both sides play like new.  Has a name scratched in the run off.

SHEP — I’M SITTING IN — TNT DEMO                                                                                                       EX-           60

Both sides have scuffs but not audible — apart from light crackle before record starts.  Bit of ring wear to raised part of label but a nice white demo.  Fool To Fool 100mph Northern, Sitting In top midtempo.  I believe the vocalist is Mr. Sidney Barnes.  Or is it Don Gardner.  One of them anyway..

THE OLYMPICS — BABY DO THE PHILLY DOG — MIRWOOD DEMO                                         EX            20

Spanking white demo.

ROSCOE & FRIENDS — BROADWAY SISSY — TEC DEMO                                                                EX            300 SOLD

One or two minor marks not affecting play but a white demo, come on!

THE MID KNIGHTS — SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE NEEDS YOU — WARNER BROS              NM           125

Cracking blue eyed version, Canada only release, went for £150 recently

Some wounded records at decent prices

ED HENRY & THE NICKELS & 3 PENNIES — I LOVE ONLY YOU — NU SOUND DEMO VG                   30

Have graded this lower because it has a nasty mark on it, apart from some very minor crackle it plays fine

JERRY GANEY — JUST A FOOL — VERVE                                                                                                   50

This is a super rare stock copy, but it has a small crack (about 1cm) which has been taped on the B side — Just A Fool plays as if there’s nothing wrong with it.  First issue I’ve ever had.

THE GEES — IT’S ALL OVER — PORT                                                                                        VG+         30

Nothing wrong with this really, just looks like it’s had a few plays, plays EX

THE TYMES — HERE SHE COMES — PARKWAY DEMO                                                                    30

This is another one with a crack, but the crack is in the run off groove and about 2 mm into the fade out — there is no click at all and it looks and plays mint

WILLIE & THE HANDJIVES — GOTTA FIND A NEW LOVE — VEEP                            VG++      30 SOLD

Nothing wrong with this at all apart from scuff marks and a name on label

T.D. VALENTINE — LOVE TRAP — EPIC ISSUE                                                                     VG++      30

Actually a very, very hard record to find on a stock copy. Has a scratch in the middle of the record which doesn’t sound

THE ENJOYABLES — PUSH A LITTLE HARDER — CAPITOL                                          VG++      50

Again, nothing wrong with this but has scuffs, plays perfectly
