Now that I've acquired a portable I can actually rip vinyl on, maybe someone here can clear this up for me...

I've had this copy of The Valentinos - Tired Of Being Nobody (Jubilee 5636) for quite some time, only thing is the track actually pressed isn't the one I've heard played out or on youtube. I've uploaded what my copy plays, any guesses? Sounds like the track is actually called "Tired Of Being Nobody" as well, could be the late Mr. Womack...its peculiar...

Andreas, the one below is the same as yours ie the real Valentinos - Tired of Being Nobody

It's possible that some of the other YT clips have been taken off a miscredited CD or download as the other YT clips claiming to be the Valentinos "Tired of Being Nobody" are certainly Otis Leavill "Glad I Met You"

Seems to me like one person makes a cock up and others copy that cock up

I'd say lead vocal was Curtis Womack as I think Bobby had left the group by the time they'd signed to Jubilee

You're absolutely right Dave, guess I should read the comments on youtube more often, as this video cleary isn't the right track and somebody already pointed it out. This is pretty clearly a cover of "Glad I Met You". So maybe that person had a mis-pressed version then?  :g: Too bad then, as I like the uptempo version of
"Glad I Met You" far more...

That's one of my pet hates with youtube, so much inaccurate information. I've long given up using it as a point of reference. I was watching a video of a song last week and who ever made it had used an album cover of the artist that didn't contain the track in question. Maybe I'm being too fussy.
