Pete S Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 How many of these actually turned up? Less than ten? Supposedly from a flooded basement in Detroit...all are water damaged labels but nice vinyl apparently. If one was to be up for sale, any ideas what price should be asked for it? 1
Quinvy Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Ok so now we know what one of the mystery records is that Pete is going to sell on here.
Harry Crosby Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Ive seen a copy with clean labels and vinyl, but as you say Pete, most of the copies were water damaged labels.
Derek Pearson Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 A quick check on Popsike throws up 2 sales in 2012 (£540 & £420) and none after that. Derek 1

Used to love this record and still do. Was booted too soon to go really massive. Remember Richard Searling at Wigan playing it for (his) last time saying the bootlegers had killed it. Maybe a bit of a marmite record tho Cheers Paul

Maybe a bit of a marmite record tho Cheers Paul Hats off to you Monsieur Le Paul, understatement IMHO ! I to use to love it at first, in a mix of northern tunes, it sounded good since the first 10 seconds or so are "working". Heard it again recently and fell out of love with it right away. Now it is rare and on a beautiful label none the less. So worthy for the collectors and maybe... some DJs. Edited July 5, 2014 by tlscapital 1
