I love Frankie Crocker too..and Bari Track...

time to reopen the instrumentals thread.

Or what about instrumentals which are better than their vocal versions...like Sidras Theme

Bari Track just gets better and better to these ears. Brilliant played out loud.

Sorry cant stand instrumentals.

Do my ed in. More so when theres a vocal.

Eh? You don't like instrumentals or vocals?

The only alternative is silence!

Better every time you hear it, and I hear it a lot, it's mind blowing on the headphones.  Thing is, on all the various mixes of I Miss My Baby, the backing track sounds really tame, but on that instrumental only, it's raging beast of a record!

Yes Bari Track is fab. One of Alan Pollards faves. I sold his copy to a lad on here. Turned out was his own old copy. It had his initials in the run out groove. What great tune Mike Terry could play.

Who first played the vocal? Assuming Sidra's Theme was Curtis or Levine at The Mecca.

I had an Uncle by marriage who used to go to the Catacombs, he also went to the first night at Wigan, anyway in 1975 he gave me a tape of all the current big sounds, it included Dena Barnes, Eloise Laws, Sam Ward, and also Ronnie & Robyn.  I didn't know anyone who'd ever heard of it.  Anyway a year later, I bought an Emidisc of a DJ who came to play in our village, I actually bought it for whatever was on the A side because there was nothing written on the B.  Turned out to be Ronnie & Robyn.  So I always did a tape to play on the coach or in the car, and even then nobody knew it.  I don't ever remember it being played until Russ played it in 1977, soon after it came out with the instrumental on the B side.  So to sum up, it may well have been a minor Cats play but other than that, no idea!
