John Benson Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Shades of The Stylistics, but I don't think it's them!
Soul16 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) Sounds like the Delfonics to me. Edited December 29, 2014 by Soul16 1

LLM Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 It doesn't sound like the Delfonics or Stylistics. I checked much of their music and I don't believe it is either. Maybe the Saints.

Robbk Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 1974 recorded in Philly. NOT The stylistics, nor The Delfonics. I don't know almost anything about The '70s, so I can't help here. I'd bet this is NOT a "Sound Of Philadelphia" group. It must be a fairly obscure Philly group on a stray national semi-major label (sort of like The Stylistics were on AVCO). 1
Reforee Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Sounds like The Continental Four, It is not one of their known recordings as far as I know, but there are missing release numbers on the Jay Walking label so perhaps someone has found a missing number from that label and it's them. Nice tune. Dave H
