Sebastian Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Can anyone add to the list? The Slam Creepers did a good version of it (very similar to the Capitols version). Their singer later ended up in Blue Swede and scored a huge US hit with "Hooked On A Feeling"...
Tim Finch Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 There's a version on the UK reggae label Torpedo from the early 70's but I can't remember who it's by, sorry Gregory Isaacs also did a version. Came out over here on Cactus in 1974.
Guest Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 (edited) Freddie Scott did a good version on a Shout (UK Joy) LP. I don't think any version touches Darrel's original, but Freddie's version must be one of the better covers of it. Edited November 8, 2004 by Guest
