OK the issue has just gone for £120 as we've seen on the other thread.

I'm sorry for bringing this up again but as John is on here, maybe he can help out.

I'm pretty sure my white demo is the rarest record in my little collection.

I know Dave Flynn had another, and one lad on here has one (Could it be Dave's old copy?)

Have you seen any/many copies of this John?

As it isnt exactly a monster on the dancefloors right now, tho its still a great tune IMO, and it seems to be quite scarce, would you guys try and sell it now, or hope it gets reactivated off the back of Johns auction. (I have seen that with a couple of tracks).

I think it's a fantastic tune and ripe for re-activation IMHO. Actually bid on the one on John's auction but then went away with work and missed end of auction.

Most copies seen for sale in recent times have been around the £150 mark so someone has got it cheap

A fantastic record and seems to rarely turn up. Remember Soul Bowl having a few copies (I think) early/mid '80s and paying something like £8 - £10 - given the current price of items in a similar price range at the time £120 was a steal - be interesting to see how many appear on Ebay now as once a £100+ price is established it's suprising how many copies show up.

If this gets re-activated though (and it should) the price'll go through the roof I reckon.

When I bought the WD off Pat, he said he was expecting a box of 25. Then he phoned to say they were all issues. At that time I think Pat's copy was the one played at Stafford. Linking to the thread in all about soul. I paid £30, despite the fact Pat told me he was expecting a load more. I just wanted it real bad.

I don't remember ever seeing a white demo for sale anywhere, certainly all the ones Soul Bowl had were issues (I think there may have been a small box).

I'm really amazed that this has had so little exposure since Stafford, for such a great record.

Baz got it.

It was up for auction on John Manship's site.

I saw you were taking a Gail Anderson to Cardiff the other week Rowly. Was it Be Proud?

As I think I,ve said before, I traded with Flynny for the Gail A nderson WD a few years ago and not for that much, don,t think I would have gone over £50 at the time.

Have since seen another wd on a Dave Raistrick list a while ago.

One of Mrs Bicknell's favorite records alongside Troy Dodds - Try My Love - El Camino...yes she went to Stafford.....lol Gail Anderson is a top record and should be a far bigger record than it is, stunning singer.

Regards - Mark Bicknell.

Ah! No..... I don't have one of those & don't think I know it. Sound file anyone? ..... I have ' My Turn Now ' on Early Bird and 'I Can't Stop It' on Galaxy.

Both worthy of more exposure in their own right IMO.... especially I Can't Stop It.
