The print and logo look very good.  But I don't remember now exactly how the boot looked.  I'll be curious to know if it is original or not.  Interesting that Wilbur Jackson of "The Two Friends" on Harvey Fuqua's and Gwen Gordy's HPC Records wrote the song.  Was he also a member of THIS group?  @ plus 2 sounds like a group of 4.  But on the song they don't sound like that many different people.  Does anyone know all the member names of Two Plus Two?

haha..yeah it doesnt matter about the record,at least that plain white sleeve is original! and  how come he knows the sleeve is original but not the flippin record!

It's like Triggers brush.

Original - the Green is slightly lighter, but the giveaway is the text on the left hand side.

The "P" in "Produced by" lines up with the middle of the "V" in "VO-003"

As the description doesn't say one way or another, it is safe to assume it is a Numero Uno copy (although NOT in its original sleeve, as that would be the Numero Uno sleeve)

Cheers

Also on the Original the Tone pattern (grey Area) is a coarse screen i.e. big dots and on the other one it looks like a solid grey , if that makes any sense

so in fact, there are many differences with the label alone, without even looking at the vinyl and run out info!

lets see if this achieves in the realms of £200 like the ernost mosley boot last week!

both records are a convincing looking bootleg, either to fool ones self or others!

Also, the original has a slightly yellower tint in the green.  The green in the boot is darker and less yellow (e.g. slightly bluer green).

I don't think he's a seller to be trusted.  One important recent item of negative feedback seems to say a lot about him and (IMO) makes him lose a fair bit of credibility:

iconNeg_16x16.gif Would not let the record go for the won bid ! said he wanted more money for it !

Rare record my mistake starting at £1 fully refunded his £12 and appologied

So does that mean he'd refuse to sell this to the winning bidder if it was won at £200, still under the impression that it's original?   :g:

The original is Nashville Matrix stamped in runout groove.

Was it a similar sort of box set in which this came out of Mick.

As a Detroit "completist", I wouldn't mind having that lookalike boot to put with my other Velgos.  I know I'll never get the real one, with only a couple known, and my not being able to afford to spend over £30 on any record.   £200, is ridiculous.  Maybe I'd buy it for £10.

Just saw this, nearly gave me the boak...

As a UK first issue, is it acceptable to play this out?

I think there getting common now

Heres some I found in Santa Barbara about 6 weeks ago with the Walter and the Admirations as well

$278 for the whole set + the book

They looked good but felt cheap.

First heard this at Gregs in New Jersey when he had the only known copy (didn't like it then and not to fussed now)

heres a thought..........would you list this for a tenner   if in anyway you thought it was real  (3-4k).....errr no :lol:

But someone paid $5,100 for a boot.  Right?  The P in "produced is directly under the V.  Or, do I have it backward, and this IS the original?

Good!  I'd hate to see someone get that kind of money for a boot, and even someone too lazy to look into it, pay that much for one.

Listing was ended by the seller "because of an error in the listing"........ :g:
