Guest lolmil Posted July 23, 2006 Posted July 23, 2006 bit of a rokcer, same as Jimmy Robbins, anybody else know it,before i go looking for a copy,i want one Slightly off thread, I have two JR's of this, both JERHART but one is a blue label and the other is more of a green label and has "Tomorrow's Hits Today" on it, is this one a boot? Loll

Loll I got both of the above out of a Soul Bowl soul pack back in the early 80s. I gave the "Tomorrow's hits today" one away. The tune was still pretty underground at the time. Given that Soul Bowl don't deal in bootlegs and that there was not sufficient demand, in the UK at least, to boot it, I presume both are real. I can't explain the different labels. At the time I did wonder what the difference was. Thankfully I was able to let the subject go and moved on! Still it would be of interest, after all these years to find out. I do remember finding one on UK President at a record fair and leaving it cause the £8.00 asking price was too much. Never seen another copy since. Regards Alan

Loll I believe the one with "Tomorrow's Hits Today" on it is a slighly rarer release. Dunno about the bluer label

Never seen another copy since. Hi Alan, You wont see a President copy for less than a ton these days. Saw one at Yarmouth earlier this year in a guys box for £120. Always been one of the 'harder' Presidents. BTW... Hows married life? Enjoyed last Saturday night mate... despite the fact that I could only do 45 minutes for you... due to the missus being ill in the car park during my spot. Not the first person that's happened to though I reckon! Sean
