Is the Temptones one the same that Butch used to play ("That's when you know you're in love")?

Yes, think so mate, but what I'm interested in is, are both copies studio acetates or are they cut from tapes - are they both the same version or are they different takes ?.  Look forward to any info.

Thanks

Speaking of info, is Shirley Matthews & Belles - Always be in style same as Patti Austin, i.e. cover of Sid Barnes?

Thanks!

Russ I asked Carl at Grumpy about the Temptones, he said both his copy and Butch's copy are both uncredited acetates.

I'm not sure Benji, but the Patti Austin (actually Ad Libs), was with Shifty for some time, now with Butch I believe, but I know Carl & Shifty used to do the odd deal so maybe its a cut ?.

Best Russ
