Godzilla Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 That Rufus Wood isn't the original issue I'm afraid.
Rudzy Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Technically it is a 2nd pressing, from the same year 1968.
Godzilla Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Technically it is a 2nd pressing, from the same year 1968. I'm aware of no evidence to support this being a 60s press to be honest. I remember the black lettering copies appearing some after after the originals. I think it's a fair assumption that they were pressed to meet UK demand. 2

JM stated that the black imprint is a legal reissue - same deadwax info etc, but was from around 1976. Which ties in with Godz's UK demand comment. 3
Wiggyflat Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I've a blues and soul where this is being played and tipped by Soul Sam in 76 I think. Will try and find it.
Rudzy Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 I think you will find that the BLUE TEXT ORIGINAL press is identical to the BLACK TEXT PRESS giving evidence that both issues we're pressed in the same year.
