Carla Thomas  Pick up the pieces     has Don Davis stamped all over it

SOme of his later work was amazing, produced and co-written by the genius that was Don Davis, not their most gut bucket but listen to the vocal interplay at the end.

Okay last one, I could be here a while. Written by the brothers of Soul and produced by one of the Daddies, it couldn't go wrong. Superb version

Okay, maybe one more, my favourite double sider of all time by one of my favourite singers, introduced to me by Richard Gilbert many years ago and stil love it as much. It really doesn't get any better.
