Soulandy Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I really should try and listen to this more often than I do.
Guest Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) SoulandyIf you have tuned in before I hope you have enjoyed the show.I must admit that I was nearly packing it in,....a virtual lack of response on several forums and on the show itself via email has made me wonder if it is worth it. I know of about 4 regular listeners..that's it. No idea of numbers available from FCUM either.I'll KOKO for now Edited October 9, 2015 by Guest
The Phantom Janitor Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 I'll have to give the show a listen sounds like your playing some good tunes.

The Phantom Janitor Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Just listened to the show and really enjoyed it, excellent choice of tunes. The Nags Head in Manchester has Northern Soul on most Saturday nights by the way, hence the memorabilia on the walls.

I regret that I could not record the show this week. So, if any comments which cause confusion regards 'time lines' I apologise in advance. Back to normal next week thanks Larry

Guest Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Hello, If you are a regular listener to Soulful Shack on FCUM, I would appreciate any feedback/comments you may have regarding content, playlist etc. A recent post on a Northern Soul website has raised the point about the future of the scene. As you may gather , it is a bit of a minefield at times, with discussion on vinyl/CDs/digital being played. Is there a future for the scene if a younger audience ,brought up on downloads, are discouraged from 'joining'? As a lover of the music, my aim is to promote the wonderful music the scene has discovered for the last 50 years or so. However, I am unsure as to the make up of listeners to the show. Also the playlist....does the current format help to encourage newcomers, put off old timers etc? Of course, one man's overplayed oldies are another man's new discoveries according to their personal history. As such, I am trying to get a feeling amongst listeners (the views to my SS weekly post does indicate some interest out there). Any comments are most welcome...thank you You can email : soulfulshack@inbox.com if you prefer that method.
