Jazz Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 What sort of £ shud I pay for this please sorry if in wrong section
boba Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 it's hilarious to me reading threads like this where the actual record is not specified, i'm like "i have no idea which one you're talking about", but somehow everyone else does so i'm in another world on this message board. like if someone starts a thread "price for gene chandler?" this is not an insult to the original poster so please don't read it as such, i'm just saying i'm lost here. 2

Guest gaz thomas Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Yes it is that one, think I have 2 copy with different label layout, demos tho and What Did SHOULD WOULD COULD Do. My demo of "what did I do" is not the usual roulette demo with the check going round the label just "Roulette" in black Text on the top and a plain white label probably east coast vinyl press or something, Ill have to check Edited June 2, 2014 by gaz thomas
Guest in town Mikey Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Yes it is that one, think I have 2 copy with different label layout, demos tho and What Did SHOULD WOULD COULD Do. Possibly one is Canadian? I preferred the look of the Canadian lable so bought that rather than the U.S. one.

I first heard it when Guy Hennigan used to play it around that time. Great memories for me as well!
Chalky Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I first heard it when Guy Hennigan used to play it around that time. Great memories for me as well! Guy's Brenda Lee Jones - Why Make Me Suffer cover up. The Essex, named after Essex County. It was the Marines that really forced the split of the group from what I've read so not sure about entertaining the troops?
Guest gaz thomas Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) Sounds like you mean the west coast styrene format, see pic yes, just had a dig and mine is styrene and with that label You gotta love Guy Hennegan I watched him DJ in Leeds last year and he is still doing amazing things to my ears His focus was still all about his own taste, which is still extra ordinary just a lover of vintage, top bloke Edited June 2, 2014 by gaz thomas
Algsoul Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 https://i.ebayimg.com/t/Anita-Humes-What-Did-I-Do-Roulette-Northern-Soul-/00/s/NDgwWDY0MA==/z/RsMAAOxyBvZTTT8g/$_12.JPGlove my copy on Canadian just like this one
Prophonics 2029 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Think mine is styrene but with the other label. I can take a picture of the matrix for a comparison.
Prophonics 2029 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 (edited) That Canadian ones a bit red for me, a yellow demo would be nice. Edited June 3, 2014 by Prophonics 2029
Simsy Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I wonder if this (WDID) still could be as cheap as forty quid? Think I paid and sold mine for that. Only sold it because the recording on my copy sounded dog rough, despite looking like an Alan Minter.
Guest Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I knew he was too, but she had a big record before that called "Everybody's Got You", would be mid 70's. This is the one I play!!! LOL!

Unlike Prophonics I guess we both prefer this one. I wonder if this (WDID) still could be as cheap as forty quid? Think I paid and sold mine for that. Only sold it because the recording on my copy sounded dog rough, despite looking like an Alan Minter. Mine was £50 off here. I think the USA one was the same price?
