ulyssees Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 as a new record collector in the late 60's I was told that Dobie Grays "Out On The Floor" was issued on UK Pye Intl as a demo, never happened as I later discovered, or did it? Or how close did it come to UK release? Yule.

Jez Jones Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Not as I remember.............unless OOTP counts as a release See you at the Go Go...was on Pye Int....and In Crowd was on London
Mick Holdsworth Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 It was issued but withdrawn on UK Brunswick on the "Out Of Sight" soundtrack LP. That's as close to a sixties UK release as you will get. It has a slightly different version with a cold finish. The LP is readily available on US Decca, but quite rare over here on Brunswick, as only a handful of sleeveless copies escaped the pressing plant (much like the Len Barry Lp from the same company) No contemporary 45 exists on any UK label, just the mass of boots / reissues that would follow over the next 45/50 years. Cheers Mick 2
ulyssees Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 Cheers Mick, was aware of the other issues, but never knew about the Brunswick one, what year was that Many thanks. Yule.
Mick Holdsworth Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I think 1966, but would need to check to be sure
