Dobber Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 god knows...but it sounds fairly new, going off the sound of the production
Robbk Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Surely that's NOT Detroit's Jimmy Scott (who recorded for Giant).
Gold Band Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 Surely that's NOT Detroit's Jimmy Scott (who recorded for Giant). Just What I Thought Robb But Who Is It? Kirsty
Robbk Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I don't recognise the voice, but the recording sounds like the '70s, and the voice sounds like a young man. So, he probably wasn't a professional singer when I was listening to music, and so, I am likely not to even have heard of him, once his name is identified.
stokesoulboy Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Aha !! I know this well !! As I bought it covered up as jimmy Scott your a runaround about 20 years ago from rob jones - it is from memory Richard Torrance on Capitol British released think it was from around 78 / when I took the label off it was a uk Capitol demo- never seen an issue or demo since ! Think I paid £30 was I robbed ?? Lol
Solution John Benson Posted April 27, 2014 Solution Posted April 27, 2014 Not my cuppa - but for those interested there's a track by Richard Torrance on his Capitol LP "Double take" called "Runaround Girl" I guess this is the mystery track?
