Very few known copies of this Crossover masterpiece. The lovely mid-tempo flip makes this an even more desirable disc.

Highly sought after rarity. Just one non-sounding mark away from M.

 

OTIS JACKSON - BEGGING FOR A BROKEN HEART (MEGA) M-  £400  SOLD

Perfect copy of this mid-tempo anthem. Always been really tough to find.

 

HUNT'S DETERMINATIONS - I NEED LOVE / ARE WE THROUGH  (EARWAX RG101/102)  G+ £400  SOLD

Rough looking copy (was sold this as a VG!) but this is the insanely rare vocal version of this funky stormer c/w the sublime mid-tempo flip AND on the red label design (only know of one other in existence of this design)

Stunning crossover on a white promo.

 

MERV MURPHY - IT'S GROWING (SIMMONS) M-  £350

Great production on this ultra rare private label 45. This is crossover of the highest order.

 

SOUL SENDERS - I GOT TO GET A MOVE ON (SOUL-O-MATIC) VG-  £325  SOLD

One of the most in-demand tunes at forward thinking venues. Very hard to find in decent condition and this is no exception but is my old play copy and sounds great out loud. A recent clean copy sold for more than £700.

 

SEDUCTION & FUN CITY BAND - ORDINARY GUY / SAILING (BME) M-  £275

Ultra rare modern dancer on a private label from places unknown. Nice Sweet group flip too. With very few known copies  this could be an investment for an enterprising dj/collector.

 

RUDY LOVE & COMPANY SOUL - SUFFERING WRATH / LIFE AIN'T SO BAD (CANYON) M-  £275  SOLD

Guaranteed floor filler now in-demand all over again for the lovely Crossover flip side.

 

NEW DIRECTIONS - TODAY IS A NEW DAY (GREER-WOLFF PRODUCTIONS) M-  £200

Private label discovery from 1976 and with tons of potential and very rare. Unknown to most.

 

ELLA WOODS - I NEED YOUR LOVE (MERGING) VG+  £200  SOLD

Beautiful Chicago crossover. Light marks only plays great.

 

FRIENDS LTD. - GOT TO HAVE THAT FUNKY MUSIC (PORTRAIT OF SOUND) VG++  £175

Pretty much unknown dancer out of Scottsdale, Arizona from 1975. Very few around and ripe for progressive dj plays.

 

EBONEY ESSENCE - LET ME IN  / UNSATISFIED WOMAN (GOODIE TRAIN) M-  £175  SOLD

Brilliant uptempo Sam Dees penned dancer from 1976.b/w the wonderful deep cut.

 

TOM GREEN - ENDLESS CONFUSION (ACTION) M-  £175  SOLD

Current spins for this UK only dancer that's just perfect for todays floors. Reminds me of Doc Peabody. Love this!

 

TRUTH & DEVOTION - I'M SO HAPPY (CHAMP) VG+  £175

Thumping gospel mover completely different take to the LP picked up rave reviews on my podcast. The only other copy I know of is with Greg Belson in the States so could be an exclusive play here in the UK.

 

BOBBY JONES & NEW LIFE - HE'S JUST ALRIGHT WITH ME (FREE SPIRIT) M-  £175

Another major gospel rarity. From 1977 what a powerfully voiced dancer this is! Don't know of any other copies either.

 

FOURCOUNTS - A HOME IN LOVELAND (LYNDELL) M-  £150  HOLD

Reactivated ex-cover up. Great harmony 60's Philly dancer on a rare white promo.

 

CLAY BROWN - I JUST WANT TO SING MY SONG (C/UP) VG  £140  SOLD

Very obscure GA. recording that I've had covered up for a while.

Only know of one other.

 

DOWN BEATS - WHY DO YOU LOVE ANOTHER (DAWN) M-  £135

Wonderful, dark, deep-with-a-beat majestic tune.

 

DOUBLE TROUBLE - TO LIVE IS TO LOVE (PILOT MASTER) VG  £130 

Rare Ohio dancer from 1976. Can't find much on the net except that Bob A included this in his best of year show. Full gloss but a couple of scuffs plays great. Listen!

 

RON SURREY & MARY MUNDY - SHAME ON ME / I DON'T WANT TO HATE NOBODY (INSURANCE CITY) VG++  £100

Storming funk-edged dancer from '72 c/w outstanding super soulful flip.

 

NIGHTCHILL - I WANT YOUR LOVING / HOP SKIP AND JUMP (TRA-SAND) VG+ / VG-  £90  SOLD

Classy Sweet soul b/w Soul Sam spin dancer (crackly start) usually a £300 record.

 

YOUNG DIVINES - DEEP IN YOUR HEART (NEW LONDON INT) VG++  £90

1st local label for this '76 dancer from the Tragar/Note stable.

SLY, SLICK & WICKED - SURELY IS YOU IS OR IS YOU / STAY MY LOVE (PARAMOUNT) M-  £85  SOLD

Still not a massive tune even though it has the lot (imo)

Wonderful sweet flip & a Minty white promo copy to boot!

 

FOURTEEN KARAT SOUL - THE TROUBLE WITH LOVE  / PLEASE SAY YOU WANT ME (CATAMOUNT) M-  £80

Very rare Skip Jackson modern soul project out of New Jersey.

 

HAROLD BOWEN - FAITH (BO-MAC) VG++  £75

Thought to be LP only until recently this is a great crossover dancer out of CA. Not known and of the 2 copies found I'm keeping the spare.

 

BLACKSMOKE - WHAT GOES AROUND (CHOCOLATE CITY) M-  £75  SOLD

So very hard to find on a 7''. The stand out track from the fab LP.

Classy Crossover that was going for 4x this a couple of years back.
