Quinvy Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Couldn't believe my eyes. https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-X-RATED-DEEP-SOUL-CONNIE-LINGUS-F-me-forever-MAGIC-CARPET-LISTEN-/301161757178?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item461ea3b9fa
Geeselad Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 wonder if its anything to do with blowfly, his 'girl, can I cum in you mouth' is quite soulful. 1
boba Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 probably released at the height of '70s porno chic / mainstreamness of "deep throat", etc. meri wilson telephone man was less explicit but actually got radio play.
Pete Eccles Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 probably released at the height of '70s porno chic / mainstreamness of "deep throat", etc. meri wilson telephone man was less explicit but actually got radio play. Almost sure Meri Wilson got top 5 in the UK, and wasn't banned by the BBC either
The Yank Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) I guess e-bay will list just about anything. Edited April 23, 2014 by the yank

Swifty Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 There's no sound file but I daren't do a google search for it! There was something on here about this record ages ago , not sure if there was a sound clip though 1
Jason S Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I was more shocked by it being described as a soul record! Anyway - here's this 'soul' gem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc13BWzzZgA
Raremusicdirect Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 It's been listed before by the Seller at least once ...............and here on Soul Source I believe............... crowd reaction be interesting
Rick Smith Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 What a crock of shit. Do you think the starting bid was a miss-print and it should have been $1.80 stating bid. I saw the Blow Fly does Disco album recently for £20.00 which is far superior ( the Frankie Valley Swear to God/Spread Your Cheeks is a classic!) but again not the sort of thing you'd play anywhere other than home. 1
Steve Edgar Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 It's Tony Bruno, at least B side is He once told me it was put out by Artie Ripp without him knowing, he'd done it as a joke when recording some stuff, don't think he was too happy bout it but as he said, "what's done is done" .... he said it was a big underground hit in US?? Steve
George G Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I remember a store (long closed now) in rural WA state that had piles of this record with a pic sleeve - emphasizing "Stickball". I think it may have been on a different label but it was the same songs. The store owner gave me a few of them with my purchase of other records (which included a really clean copy of the Ventures "Walk Don't Run" on Blue Horizon for $5). I don't know if it was a "underground hit", but I'm pretty sure it was on some jukeboxes in bars. Stuff like "Telephone Man" and later "Rodeo song" were popular like that.
Sutty Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Not this again, it was listed on here and I commented how it was 'comedy sale of the day' as a light hearted comment, and if anyone wanted a copy I have a white label copy they can have for the postage which I was given over 20 years ago, the other side is mildly amusing for about 2 minutes. Got all kinds of nasty personal abuse from the seller saying I'd 'ruined his sale'. Last sold on discogs for £2.97. Clown.
boba Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 I just want to say that the seller Dave who is on here is a very honest person and I have had no problems with him.
Sutty Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 (edited) And I'd like to add that I am not intimating that it's the same seller on ebay that I got the abuse from on here Edited April 25, 2014 by Sutty
Diggin' Dave Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 I think you may have me mixed up with someone else. I don't recall ever talking to you and I'm not the kind of person that would attack another person if he said that starting price is too high. In fact, the starting price probably really is too high. I just had some free eBay listings for this month left so I re-uploaded some older stock I still have. I think it's quite a funny record (joke wears offf quickly though ) and it does draw the attention for people who then subsequently click through and find my better, more realistically priced records. All in all I'd say there's other things in life to worry about
Sutty Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Hi Dave, as said earlier, in no way was I referring to you in my post, I was referring to another seller on here, what you do is your own business and as you say we've never even had any contact cheers Sutty
Diggin' Dave Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 My fault, just woke up three mins prior to posting so was still a bit drowzy from last night I'll promise that it's the last time that I put it up for sale at this price btw, joke's clearly worn out by now 1
