Dazdakin Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Stronger than her love (inst) Now i realise it has no legal release but anyone who has a decent sounding carver and is willing to sell....... Best Dazz
Guest Awake 502 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 This was my copy, sold it via John Manship. Not sure how many acetates were made.
Ernie Andrews Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 for some reason I cant edit! I bought that one off the person who won it off J manship - Sold it last year.
Godzilla Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 The one I had from California didn't look like that...
Chris L Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 This and "Hurt on the other side" instrumental had nothing to do with Sidney Barnes but Simon Soussan and Arthur Wright, he said he was sort persuaded to record/mix them. Only his word for that but is a very honest guy. 1

Goldsoul Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Stronger than her love (inst) Now i realise it has no legal release but anyone who has a decent sounding carver and is willing to sell....... Best Dazz It did get a legal release via the LP Record Collector on Destiny in 1979. Herb Abramson owner of Festival was a friend of mine and he's the one who is responsible for the license plus the Babysitters and Charlotte Stokes on Tip. All mentioned before in previous threads. 2

Kev I think it's the vocal on Record Collector not the instrumental?

Goldsoul Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Kev I think it's the vocal on Record Collector not the instrumental? Is it really? As you can see from the acetate though I did intend the inst to come out.
Pete S Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Is it really? As you can see from the acetate though I did intend the inst to come out. Well can't play it at the moment but the credit on the sleeve is to The Flirtations. Don't think it came out on a cd either.
Wiganer1 Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 DEFO VOCAL ON LP - BUT DOES HAVE THE BRILLIANT LOVE ON A RAMPAGE INSTRUMENTAL ON IT.. 1
Popular Post Goldsoul Posted April 24, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 24, 2014 Mark...Thanks for reminding me. That's where my memory faded. I used the Rampage inst from the tapes I got from George Kerr, obviously I missed using the Flirtations inst for some reason. As Pete identified, it wasn't used on cd either. I must have decided not to use it at all. Just as a piece of side trivia and still not answering Daz's thread starter.....the song was originally commissioned by Herb Abramson as a Toothpaste commercial. The TV ad was used apparently and became popular, hence Herb's green light to Sidney Barnes to enhance the melody into.........a bloody fantastic Northern dancer 5
Mick Holdsworth Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 (edited) two according to john manship Here's a copy I had around the time of it's scheduled release. Just dug it out for scans I remember that auction and was surprised to hear there was only two copies. Is that right though, or are there a dozen or so out there ? Cheers Mick Edited April 24, 2014 by Mick Holdsworth

Guest Awake 502 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 The one I had came out of Expansions in Manchester...
