Orotava Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Just realised this is on Kindle Daily Deal today at £0.99
Popular Post Robbk Posted April 18, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) The reason it's such a good deal is that nobody knows who Berry GORDON is! Now, maybe a book by Berry Gordy would generate some sales! Edited April 21, 2014 by RobbK 4
Drewtg Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Just realised this is on Kindle Daily Deal today at £0.99 Cheers mate, don't usually pay for my e-books but will make an exception here 1
Soulfinger Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Thanks for flagging that up. I would rather have a hard copy but at 99p it's a no brainer. 1
Rob Moss Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Berry Gordon? What a tosser. It's usually Barry Gordy. 1

Orotava Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 Thanks again, but what a terrible book. Really disappointed. Who the hell let him write his own book? It`s next on my list to read but somehow I`m not looking forward to it now...
Drewtg Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 It`s next on my list to read but somehow I`m not looking forward to it now... Sorry about that. By way of apologies here is a great book about the Chess brothers, and it's cheap as chips for Kindle. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Spinning-Blues-Into-Gold-Legendary-ebook/dp/B0081XE4LO 1
Sheldonsoul Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I found the Gordy book quite a long yawn , one of those books you can't wait to finish and get it over with

Robbk Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 The reason it may be boring is perhaps because he is consciously leaving out the juiciest parts, because they may not put him in the best light (similar to what has been written down as US history in the official US school books).

He probably left most put for fear of being sued. The lawyers will have deleted so much from the orignal manuscript.
