Guest Juniorsoul Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 So, I've been on the scene for around a year now, and collecting for a similar amount of time. I've managed to establish a fair collection, with some great 'oldies and some decent 70's. What I'm looking for is some recommendations for really good, tasteful XO. I'm looking for stuff similar to Tim - I Need Your Love, The Worlds Funkiest Band - When You're alone. If you could give me a price for the original vinyl, that'd be great, or how to spot bootlegs of your recommendations. So come on guys, share your wealth of experience with me!
Soulhawk1960 Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Keep your eyes open for the stuff posted by SOUL INC (Des Parker). He posts some beauties at great prices and they have sound files so you can have a listen first. 3

Northern Soul Uk Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 (edited) All as said above, listen and learn is the best way. Also you can learn a lot about original and bootleg releases in Manships price guides and manships Bootleg guides, and there is a fair amount of info on Discogs if you know what tracks you are looking for.
