Sammy Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Does anybody know anything about the label variations on Hunt's Determination - Are we through? There seems to be orange and blue ones.
grodriguez Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Don't know which came first, but Orange seems to be rarer over here. Most that come up here in the states are blue (and trashed). Have only personally seen one on the Orange.
boba Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 i haven't seen an orange copy, i have a beat up blue copy. assuming you're talking about the early vocal version of the song. can someone post a scan of an orange one?
Sammy Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 There is one on popsike. If you want a better one PM me and I will email you.
Sammy Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 Well, it's just as easy to post here. Colour is somewhere between orange and red.
Mister Fish Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 That's the one I've got. I asked on another forum site and nobody had seen an orange/red one before. Yours looks in better condition than mine!
boba Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 i've never ever seen that. the logo is totally different too. is the recording exactly the same?
Sammy Posted April 15, 2014 Author Posted April 15, 2014 Recording sounds the same to my ears. Perhaps a slightly different mix. But I'm not certain... It also is a bit clearer in sound quality but all this might be due to the low quality clips compared to.
Sammy Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 Somebody commented that this track was differently mixed from the blue version. Now you can listen for yourself and judge. I myself think that the background singers are a little louder in this mix... It is posted in the audio forum.
boba Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 can someone post a link to the post in the "audio forum" that has the two records?
Sammy Posted May 18, 2014 Author Posted May 18, 2014 But it has only the "I need love" side so far. O think are we through was featured in one of mr Fish's mixcloud mixes but I can't remember which one at the moment. I'm planning on featuring it in a mix in the near future though... 1
Dave Thorley Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 (edited) Here's the two off the Blue copy, if there is a difference it's only slight Edited May 18, 2014 by Dave Thorley 1
boba Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 they sound pretty different to me from these clips, the blue copy mix is way muddier sounding. i don't know if that could be attributable to the recording or not, but it's much harder to hear the vocals. i wish i could hear the orange copy of "are we through" since that is the side i listen to and would be able to tell better.
boba Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 also, what is the deadwax of the orange label copy on each side?
Sammy Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 Deadwax is RG-001 GM (there is also a stamp I cant really make out and a "R") RG-002 GM (same stamp and "R")
boba Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 deadwax on the blue label copy. Are we through: Handwritten "Earwax 101-A" and 180 degrees from it "209" followed by a long double dash or long equals sign I need love: Handwritten "Earwax 101-B" and much closer to it a "209 H6"
Mister Fish Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 deadwax on the blue label copy. Are we through: Handwritten "Earwax 101-A" and 180 degrees from it "209" followed by a long double dash or long equals sign I need love: Handwritten "Earwax 101-B" and much closer to it a "209 H6" Sending you MP3's of both sides by email Bob. 1
Mister Fish Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Does anybody know anything about the label variations on Hunt's Determination - Are we through? There seems to be orange and blue ones. ..and it's Hunt's Determinations with an 's' at the end. 1
boba Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 someone I know whose group did a show with them told me a story about their name, I don't know if this is true but this is what he told me. the group was managed by Stacey Hunt. Hunt had heart disease and bypass surgery was more invasive and less standard back then. He had his entire chest cracked open and survived the dangerous surgery due to the fact that he was strong willed. Hence the "Hunt's Determination Band". 1
Marc Forrest Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I am (still) looking for either orange or blue release. good cash or trade offer waiting.
Dave Abbott Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I have the Blue copy - only heard the Orange through a computer when Steve was selling his, but the Orange deffo sounds a different mix to me - the background vocals are much louder. I need an Orange if any one has a spare!!
