Kevinkent Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) Ok, the long awaited 100 Club favourite , September Jones' "Voo doo Madamoiselle" gets it's vinyl release Monday 31st March. Thanks to Ady and the boys at Ace/Kent for making this available in the correct manner and ensuring that, as usual, royalties are paid to the artist. So why oh why does ebay seller soulwaxni deem it neccessary to already flog a boot on the soulwax label. I don't recognise the name but certainly the location - Bangor, county Down, which has been the location for the production or distribution of numerous boots in the past, many of which were reported by ss members. Can't anyone stop this thieving magpie cnut. Permanently. - Kev Edited March 30, 2014 by KevinKent 1
Jason S Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 £14.99? Can't see anyone buying that when you can get a proper release one for a tenner on Monday. (Will have this for sale on Monday if anyone wants one, btw)

Chalky Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 I've just done a post on my blog for the release as well.... https://chalkster101.wordpress.com/2014/03/29/kentpied-piper-september-jones-voo-doo-madamoiselle/ I hope Kent/Ace can track the bootleggers down. 2
Steve L Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Surprised no ones mentioned this before, they've been on ebay for weeks - wankers 1
Guest Andy Kempster Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 It beggars belief the stuff that gets booted when it is freely available legitimately. I for one hope Ady and co catch up with this dick and shut him down
Amsterdam Russ Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Boot using the audio from the YouTube vid?

Jim Elliott Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I don't swear too often but for fucks sake. who are these people?
Kevinkent Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 That's the one Haydn Sorry, didn't realise you'd already bought this to attention on here. - Kev.
Kevinkent Posted March 30, 2014 Author Posted March 30, 2014 Boot using the audio from the YouTube vid? I doubt it. if you mean the one with Levanna dancing. That vid soundtrack is interspersed with the Spanish street band. More likely from Ace's own site. Is nothing sacred? - Kev
Popular Post Louise Posted March 30, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 30, 2014 Unfortunately that's the risk you take with offering a download, which should be a format for honest people to listen to music who don't desire a physical product. But the reality is you running thr risk of some unsrupilous bastard nicking your master. Who can then produce a vinyl boot leg with no advance royalities or mastering costs thus making a killing. But then again you also have to question the integrity of the buyers of such products ? As you know we at Soul Junction only put partial soundclips up of our releases on our site. One day while searching around on the net I found one bastard was offering the partail soundclip of Vince Broomfield's "Won't Somebody" as a moblie phone ringtone! I spend a lot of time telling independent artists not to put full clips of their songs on their own or any websites including you tube as it will inevitably get ripped off. The same thing goes for radio Dj's they really need to run a jingle or partially talk over the track, this still may not stop the bootleggers but you've got to try and make it harder for 'em to do it. May they die a slow and horrible death Dave 4

Anyway, I hope that Ace/Kent's legal team are on the case. This soulwaxni person appears to be making a nice living out of a whole range of bootlegs. Surely someone on this relatively small scene knows who it is, don't they? 1
Haydn Posted March 30, 2014 Posted March 30, 2014 I am led to believe that Ady is on the case, seemingly this bootlegger has been untouchable for some reason and Ebay still allow them to sell. 1
Cover-up Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 Sounds great, and looks great. EXCEPT for that dirty big barcode at the bottom of the label... Ady, c'mon, detachable barcode sticker on the sleeve next time PLEASE. My poor aching eyes...
Guest turntableterra Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 ana codes cost a bit of dosh, so they probably get royalties from display. but agree they look awful
