Bigsoulman Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 nope, a boot I've just sent him a message telling him its a boot and get his starting price at 99p he may then get a couple of bids, f*****g tw*t! Lenny
Guest Bearsoul Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 ARE THESE PEOPLE GENUINELY NAIEVE OR CALCULATING SCAMMERS , THEY OBVIOUSLY CAN'T READ A REFERENCE BOOK PROPERLY ,THEN AGAIN MISQUOTING JUST SEEMS TO BE PART OF THE RUSE TO PART A FOOL FROM THEIR MONEY..TRULY BEGGARS BELIEF...IT WOULD BE AMUSING EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT SOME OF THE B****888S ACTUALLY GET AWAY WITH IT..OF COURSE EBAY DON'T GIVE A TOSS.EITHER WAY!!!
Guest Trevski Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 I mailed him, telling him it was a boot, got this reply is it a bootleg--do not bid on it if it is--the colour-- maitrix -- is all in the manship bootleg book as it is not. tosser!

Mak Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Ken , 99% certain I had one way back in the 80's def a boot and a shit one as well
Guest Netspeaky Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Why get excited over this! the guy isn't saying it's an original for starters, if someone wants to pay £100 for it that's their choice. We all sell records in our collections (boots and originals) and want the best price for them. If someone wants to pay the price advertised that's there choice. Put it another way no one would shop at Tesco's if they want to pay the lowest price, but they are the most successful so of course people choose to do so. I dare say people who are posting here, so why are you paying more for your loaf of bread, it's the same thing, sorry but get real. The only time it's worth shouting if it's a genuine attempt to defraud, and this isn't the case here folks. i have had a lot of inquiries as to this may be a bootleg.i am not sure but i have checked through manship bootleg book & his others.so i am not sure.i have descibed the maitix number & colour.so if any bidders are not sure...""dont bid "".because i am selling as described.
davidwapples Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 why is it that people wont buy a bootleg guide and check this thing out for themselves they seem happy to pay big money for in demand tunes or classic oldies but wont "waste" 10 pounds on a guide as its money they could spend on 45s there may be boots that are not documented but if the information is there and easily available , it is there own fault if they get stung buying a boot for original price some sellers do not state that item is a copy but they do not state its an original either so if the title has been pressed it only takes an email , if you dont get the right answer do not buy it it is worth binging it to the attention of people on here like pete did but most of the colectors on here surely have the guide or have been collecting for long enough to know how to spot the fakes
