Guest Dave Turner Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) The 1965 date is the original published date. The Black Magic reissue came out in July '74 Worth about a couple of quid, if that although some folks get a fiver fer it Edited March 13, 2014 by Dave Turner
Guest scootergirl Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 thanks for replying that's the one I got in ur picture haven't a clue when I bought it maybe around 1974 even tho it says 1965 on the record
Frankie Crocker Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 The worth of the record is in the grooves. The original US release was on the Charger label in 1965. It is CLASSIC Northern Soul and worth owning in any format.
Guest scootergirl Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 hi ya Frankie ive had a closer look at it and it was recorded by charger so do u think its an original?? thanks for your reply
Soulstu Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Sorry scooter girl, Dave Turner is spot on - it's not the original US Charger you have, it is a UK reissue by Selectadisc of Nottingham. So what if it's worth a few quid only, it's a brilliant record. Just enjoy it.
Prophonics 2029 Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I have a real boot and small logo and large logo Rca stamped originals, some times the boot sounds better.
Guest scootergirl Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 im definetly enjoying it as I dint know I had it thanks for reply everyone have good weekend

The re-issue on Thunderbird is quite rare and used to go for about £70 - 90 not any more though.
