The Despenza one has just gone for £900 + so this would be £1500 i should expect (at least)

On a very lucky day £1500......but nearer 2 grand....and that`s for a very rare 2nd or even 3rd issue!

The Wand copy has the artist as THE IVORIES, both Despenza issues are credited to "IVORYS"

Anyone know why that is?

Quite possibly Wand wanted a more polished sounding name.

Got to agree with you

I don't like the tune so admit to being biased but if they moved the decimal point to the left so it was £13.91 then it might have been worth a Iook as an original.

At least the bootleg has the benefit of having a decent tune on the other side.

Jesus H Christ. Nearly £50 for a tacky looking pressing and the seller holds out for more. Madness.

This is why........it is rare

As I understand this thread is highlighting the folly of some buyers.

I would add the proviso, that most of us sharing our thoughts here, are unhappy about

the number of modern day boots advertised on Ebay, of which this disc is possibly an example.

The fact is that if buyers were more sensible they could get a carver cut of these tunes to play

at home for much less than they are paying for some of these contemporary copies.

Although it's pretty obvious, possibly due to both the lack of expertise, that they

don't enforce it, in so far as Northern Soul Vinyl is concerned, the fact is that E-bay's trading policy

outlaws the sale of copies and boot's of any branded/copyrighted product.

Anyway I don't think anyone is actually accusing you of misleading buyers.

Some folks have more money than sense, good luck to you.

How about a copy of Billy Davis - Stanky in sales forum for the princely sum of £275, that made me laugh (comedy sale - get it?).

That's the second issue too.

Yes the catalog number on the Decca originals were one digit different (i.e.the number above the Release Number F 13555).

i.e.ZDR 53438 NOT ZDR 55438

Mine is a defo the second issue, following Casino demand.

I have never seen an original though, come to that.

Here's one though:

Another punt for a Micky Moonshine described as original, here:

£92 bid and a punt at another copy of £125. Thought it booked at £50-60?

£40 tops, but hey! if someone wants to give me £125 for mine all well and good  :)

Seen it going quite recently (sure it was in sales on here) for £75, but i thought that that would be the top. I will admit to it being 1 of my favourite tracks.
