Here's one that i took an interest in.

A request about authenticity as you might imagine, went unanswered:

Don't appear to have such luck selling my own boots.

Anyone interested (all bought in 70's, one owner) click here

why don't you list them lower but charge more for postage, i reckon you would get more bids and pay less to ebay on the final amount. only tryin to be helpful.

This Original Don Thomas on Blue VJ LOL

I have messaged him the errors of his ways see if he removes it

https://www.ebay.co.u...=item256b1e3de7

he is also selling loads of UK motown demo's all over priced like this one that books at £22

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Green-White-Motown-Demo-Edwin-Starr-Agent-Double-O-Soul-TMG-790-V-Rare-/160711561708?pt=UK_Records&hash=item256b27d1ec

. As a few people know I collect Motown demos, his price for the Edwin Starr demo I reckon is about the going rate. Look at Popsike one sold in 2008 for £330.00!!!!!!

That's right, if it's the Oh How Happy 45, came out on a demo, wasn't released, then was rescheduled, came out on demo and issue. First one is rare like you say.

* checked and it's Agent 00 Soul. IN that case, forget anything I said, that's worth £40.

know a guy who's got 2 demos of the Edwin/ blinky demo sitting in a box in his garage, and they go for excess of 500/600 each, it's alright for some lol, pete did you mean the agent oo soul is worth about £40.00

I have complained to ebay about the Belgian D*ck head several times it is nothing more than free advertising for his brothers shop

i have also told him what i think of his £50,000,000 "rarest record on earth" acetate by Moses that he seems to have six copies of

if you check his feed back , he sell about three records a year !

I always complain for at least two of his auctions. His stuff does get taken down by ebay often. It pisses me off the worst when he shows up in the ebay ad here as one of the most expensive items, that's when I'm most aggressive about reporting him. He used to do the zillion dollar ads all the time, now I rarely see them (he has fake cheaper ads).

Yes I did mean that mate, I don't think hardly any of those green and white demos with reissued tracks on are worth much

I'm not saying it's a boot , just that most of the stardust pressings seem to be still available !

This thread was covered a few weeks ago for the same reason (someone paying an extortionate amount for the same single taken from an LP). The other side (I Cried For You) is also on the LP and worthy of plays (if not already been played), but I must agree the prices being paid are somewhat outrageous (unless you are the seller) considering the LP is only the same sort of value.

Another one......emailed him and just got a flea in my ear

Yes.......but note the caveat emptor:

This is not the original pressing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having said that, I put my London copy on Ebay last November (with a starting bid of £10), specifically stating that it was the legitimate UK issue from 1977, with Bobby Paris on the flip. Had about 8 bids, and the winner got it for £44.

BTW, is 'original pressing' an oxymoron?

Edited by Gene-R

Laura Green "Moonlight etc..

I believe that the early 70's RCA Grey re-issue was a genuine repress, stamped matrix and all,

does anyone know if this is a boot?

It's been given the same cataolgue number.

Thanks

he put that on as a revision/edit on the 12th jan, but most of the bids came in after that date, so more fool the buyers i say

In this case i don't blame the seller but question the buyers

there are thousands of copies of this classic kicking around on several labels !

here's another comedy sale for you, if you look up top you will see the detailed auction title, would have posted the ebay link but it was IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND lol. I guess some people don't like money, considering this bootlegg should have sold for 50% of what an original goes for right?? :wicked::rofl:

https://collectorsfre...id=250969599853

I fail to see the comedy sale. A boot of Terrible Tom sells for $17. That's less than 10 quid, isn't it? Where's the comedy in it?

the comedy is in the listing "northern soul record" on ebay makes for hard searching, selling... I'm aware it isn't worth a fortune, I was being silly......

Is this one heading for big money ?

can't beleive that these people can't find a better copy !
