Denbo Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Please get in touch if you do. I'm not going to pester you to sell me it, unless you want to, I just need a recording of one of the tracks. Please PM me. Thanks.
Soul-slider Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Why the UK one? Is there a different track than on the US one (which I have)?
Denbo Posted January 29, 2014 Author Posted January 29, 2014 Why the UK one? Is there a different track than on the US one (which I have)? Not that I know of. I just want to hear this track from the Oriole Lp to make double sure it's the same as the track on the Gordy Lp. Nowt shady, just trying to be thorough.
Soul-slider Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Ah, which track denbo? I won't be able to help but as a Motown L.P collector I am intrigued

Chris L Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 I know where I can buy one, mint, what's it worth ?
Denbo Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 You lot are such a tease Say what 'kin track and post it up with scans and you tubes etc All's I want is for somebody with a UK Oriole copy of the Contours Do You Love Me Lp to kindly record a track off said Lp and send it to me as an mp3 or wav file so I can compare it to my Motown 45. And yes, it's the Whole Lotta Woman track. I've heard of so many different versions of this title and want to decide for myself which is which, rather than blindly accepting what I've read on the subject, some of which having already been found to be incorrect.
Soul-slider Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I remember getting a UK re-press of this L.P. It was on the new late 70's blue design Motown logo, you know the big 'M'. Traded it on when I got the US Gordy original.
Denbo Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 I know where I can buy one, mint, what's it worth ? Which? The Oriole Lp or the Motown 45?
Philippe Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) I remember getting a UK re-press of this L.P. It was on the new late 70's blue design Motown logo, you know the big 'M'. I had the French '81 reissue and I kept it because all the tracks but three were different. The tracks in common are Do You Love Me, Shake Sherrie and Whole Lotta Woman.
