Soul Friends

I feel I must put must put pen to paper, so to speak and voice something that concerns me, the reason for this is that over the last twenty odd years on the Soul scene I've met some great people, sadly some of whom are now dead. Recently another good friend of mine died very unexpectedly at only 45. This is my point, eight years ago I left the Soul scene to have a family and now I have returned, gaining again some great friends and rekindling some old friendships, but I find, there are many people who treat other people on the Soul Scene with a certain amount of suspicion, to say the least. This, I think is rather silly as we should embrace other soul fans and enjoy their company no matter what they wear or their Soulful preference of music, this scene we are on, can shrink and expand so easily, there are so many style of Soulie now that come from so many eras of our great scene we should be grateful of other true Soul addicts. And look forward as I do to seeing them at the next Soul Event. Life is so short. Live for NOW

Nice words indeed...I and others do think the same..I have always known that the scene is full of great people who would do anything to make you welcome..There are a good few shit bags too like in any other walk of life but we know who a good few of them are and keep them at a distance..Never let these few people taint what is a great scene and a way of life for many....Not sure if i know you soulie 64 but all the best and see you around..
