Premium Stuff Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 (edited) Hi everyone I was recommended to use Mixcloud instead of Soundcloud for posting tracks for my sales to link to SoulSource and Facebook selling groups. The main reason is that there are charges on Soundcloud when you hit a certain upload limit - but Mixcloud is free. Just uploaded two tracks successfully to Mixcloud with pictures etc. All seemed fine. The I got the message below saying they had been diabled due to them being single tracks. Can anyone tell me how many tracks Mixcloud reckons is a mix/podcast etc. please? If the answer is two it's probably OK. If not I will probably have to pay to upgrade my Soundcloud Cheers Richard Hi, Thanks for signing up to Mixcloud, it's great to have you on the platform. Mixcloud is all about radio shows, DJ mixes, Podcasts, and audio that people can enjoy for an extended period - what we refer to as 'Cloudcasts'. For licensing reasons we don't host individual tracks (even if it's your own track), so unfortunately we've had to disable your single track upload ("Shep - I'm Sitting In (TNT 282 A)"). If you feel this is in error, please get in touch athttps://support.mixcloud.comAll the best, Mixcloud Team Edited January 14, 2014 by Premium Stuff
Pete S Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 Not sure, shortest one I've ever uploaded is about 9 minutes but I can understand why they don't allow single tracks, it'd be chaos.
