I just recorded a bunch of obscure 45s, some advertisement records, a promotional record for another other record, and a public service announcement records. I think records like these are really cool, just sharing. Other people seem to not be as interested but if they are i have more stuff like this, maybe I should do a blog.

Lou Rawls does a creepy Christian PSA record (4 spots):

The Avons do a promotional 45 promoting their Groove 45 "Rolling stone" along with some school and weather announcements. They're trying to sound sexy and some of these are really awkward:

The Avons (actually "Sonya and the Avons", I don't know who Sonya was but I don't think she was an Avon) do an ad for Riceland Rice:

An ad for a furniture and jewelry store in Atlanta called "Fair". Flipside is a straight R&B instrumental and is really good actually:

The only one I have is the Steve Karmen - Breakaway EP done for Pontiac Motors. 6 tracks.

I think I've seen one on eBay a few times by Sidney Barnes promoting a Furniture Shop or something!

I assume there'll be some Motown type stuff done

Cheers

What's the easiest way to start a blog like this, each post would have some text, a record photo, and audio which I can host elsewhere. Tumblr?

Another type of promo which I've seen (but don't own any of) are ad acetates used to promote specific shows that radio stations would run.
