boba Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Hi. Welcome to my latest Sitting in the Park radio show. Today I did a unique show in that I tried to play all ‘70s records (I might be off but close on one or two records…). I started off the show with a funky set, then played a male-female duo set, then played sweet soul (mostly female groups) for the rest of the show. You can listen at: https://www.sittinginthepark.com/1-12-2014.mp3? You can listen to other shows and interviews with Chicago groups by going to my main page www.sittinginthepark.com Also, if someone you know wants to subscribe to this email list, they can add themselves at the following URL: https://eepurl.com/n7Qr5 Playlist follows and I hope you enjoy the show. Djmelismo Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Excellent show. One good thing about the 70's is that the sound quality of the recordings had improved ;). Debbie S and the Sounds of Thunder - Try my love has to be my #1 favourite from this show filled with wonderful music. Also very nice to hear that early Ronnie McNeir. Best, Mats 1
Kev Cane Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 (edited) Just listened to the show, fantastic (again) talk about saving the best until last, Nathan Bartell, brilliant, always wondered what the background music on the show was and thought, stick some vocals on top of that you could have a great record, and so it was proved by The Fuzz, Devilles sounded great, mine is the other version, perhaps you could play the flip on a future show Bob Kev Edited January 17, 2014 by kev cane
