Hi all

I have purchased a copy of this record (see pic) and think i may have boobed, can anyone confirm if this is legit or a boot, it looks very new and only has a scribed run-out as TRC-270-267-R it also seems to have what looks like ink splatter on the lable. It was advertised as  "HARD TO FIND US PROMO COPY". I purchased this from what i consider to be reliable source and didnt give it the normal investigation i try to give them.

Hope you can help

Many thanks

Just checked Manship guide to Bootlegs, Counterfeits and reissues and the original Promo was issued on a white label with black writing. The orange label was for issues only. The original west coast styrene releases have a delta #64655.

Hope this helps.

Was issued twice with two label designs so actually two separate demos, original is white with black lettering as you say, second is black and white with logo on the side.  Orange issue then a red & black issue.

What did you pay from this reliable source then ?

ROD

Remember buying a mintish red and black issue off you Rod at Rhythm Station, about 10 years back, you had me over for the princely sum of 6 quid,

Just a bit of trivia.  This record was released twice on Tangerine.

First time with "I'm Hooked" on the flip side.

This first release TRC - 967 came out on the Orange label and the Red and Black label.

Then on the Red and Black label TRC - 1019 several years later with "Anything You Wasn't Born With" on the flip.

Yes,I left early so you wouldn't ask for your money back once you'd heard it.

Does make you wonder which reliable source sells boots as US promos.

No one on here I trust.

ROD

I never listened to it Rod, I sold it within seconds for £6.50 then left early myself,

:hatsoff2: HI ALL... If I remember most if not all TANGARINE copy's have a gold spot on label? :g: DAVE K

Those gold spots are ABC's equivalent of drill holes Dave - deleted records got the gold spot treatment, you'll see it on all of their labels, Dunhill etc
