Billy Jo Jim Bob Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 In the dim and distant past I seem to recall being told that Such Misery came out on both Styrene and Vinyl pressings and that the Vinyl copy was much harder to locate. Could anyone confirm if this is right or wrong or am I completely talking out of my passage ? Thanks
Guest Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) Drew 1001 "Such Misery",only on styrene, I have never seen a vinyl copy. Drew 1002 "Why Girl/What I want" did come out on a vinyl copy as well as the normal styrene. Drew1003 "If This Is Love" was only on styrene. After that the label was not part of Sidra records anymore. Sounds like there was a time gap before the label started again distributed by Laurie records. Edited January 9, 2014 by Guest

Only Dreaming Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 My copy of "if this is love" is vinyl. Dave
Robbk Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I've seen vinyl pressings of "If This Is Love".
Chalky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Nice thick vinyl as well if memory serves me correctly.
Windlesoul Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) I had one on vinyl, dinner plate stuff weight wise. Label was pressed off centre though - were they all like this on the vinyl copies? Edited January 10, 2014 by Windlesoul
Chalky Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I had one of the heavy vinyl copies and it was fine from what I remember.
Billy Jo Jim Bob Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) Thanks chaps. I remember (vaguely) being at a venue around 15 years ago looking through a sales box and saw a pretty poor copy of the Precisions. When I asked why it was in the box for so much in poor condition the seller said that it was a vinyl copy and much rarer. I was a bit sceptical but then a well known dealer came up picked the record out and bought it straight away. The reason I ask is that I just bought a spare from the US and the seller said he thought it was vinyl. Edited January 10, 2014 by Andy Mac
Robbk Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I seem to remember vinyl pressing of all 5 releases pressed at RCA Midwest or RCA Pennsylvania. with Styrene pressings of all being pressed at Monarch. 1
