Watching an item on ebay 5 days to go 15 bidds but 3 bidders one particular bidder 10 bidds.($17.77 to $36.77

8 hours to go 31 bidds 3 bidders the same bidder jumped in with 13 more bidds jumping item up from $36.77 to $61.

I think I see the item you mean.  I don't think there is anything dodgy going on.

It looks to me that g**9 has bid twice ($36.77 and something over $61.77).  At the time the bid shown would be just high enough to beat the next highest bidder.  Bidder f**p has tried to beat g**9 by repeatedly placing bids just slightly above g**9's winning bid, causing the ebay system to raise g**9's bid to the next highest winning level (which it will do until g**9's maximum is reached).  The bid history doesn't display these automatic bids.

If you click on the bidders you can see their bid activity over the last 30 days.  Neither has much activity with the seller, so it doesn't seem that someone connected with the seller is creating false competition.

If I was thinking of bidding on this record, I would wait until the last few seconds before placing my bid, to avoid stimulating further competition.

Thanks Alan,........ clicked on the bidders and has you say they really don't have or haven't had much to do with seller.

Thought there would be a reasonable explanation on this one.

Most of time usually wait till last few seconds to bid but to be honest my initial thought was to stay well clear....

All it shows is that neither bidder knows what they're doing.
