Marc Forrest Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 funny james, I was just talking to the guy you got it off the other day when the question came up wether you already sold it or not ;) great and rare record, you shouldnt have any problems selling this baby at all!
The Milk Man Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Needs must Marc, time to share the tune so hopefully I can enjoy it on the dancefloor instead
Quinvy Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 What a record, real shame about the background noise. I personally couldn't stand to listen to it like that, but looks like many others aren't as fussy as me. Probably worth a fortune just to have it in your collection, but I've always been about the music in the grooves. It is a crime that people can treat vinyl with no respect. Good luck with the sale, and I will be very interested to see what it finally goes for.

The thing is, records were made to be played, so in the 60's my Mom had a few hundred 45's which she let me play with, and I started buying my own records in 1968, I can tell you that none of them had sleeves, we threw the sleeves away and the records were just piled on top of one another. This is probably what happened to 50% of all records sold in the 60's. 1
Stockholmsoulfox Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) An iconic record in every sense, this will be on everyone's watch list, and as you say in the description it doesn't skip like a stock copy Edited January 7, 2014 by stockholmsoulfox 1
Pete S Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 An iconic record in every sense, this will be on everyone's watch list, and as you say in the description it doesn't skip like a stock copy It's a thing of beauty, no doubt about that, but it was reissued in 1976 so a lot of people have actually heard it enough times to not want to own it...
Quinvy Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 If I were fortunate enough to have lots of money, I would love to have a small box of my all time favourite 45's on the original vinyl. Just to look at and play from time to time. I'm the same with cars. I would have a heated garage with all my favourite cars sat in it. And I don't mean super cars. Back to reality. Where the hell have the smileys gone? 1
Peter99 Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 I'm always intrigued about how stuff like this appears - apart from the obvious dealers/collectors routes. Must still be things like this that people not in the know find - I like them stories. As has already been said its a record of the highest order isn't it - absolutely fabulous dance floor record. Peter
The Milk Man Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 P&P isn't exact, as it states in the listing. This is how much it would cost to send to USA, UK post much cheaper, if not collected! 1
The Milk Man Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 Paddywack, are you from Gainsborough? I'm originally from just down the road, Sunny Scunny!! If you win the 45 then I'll personally deliver it
