Sorry to disagree.  Nothing stirs the loins more than a lovely red and white UK demo...even if it's by Ken Dodd

Some will just never understand pete, british is best.

I was offered a Berts Apple Crumble for 100 and a Cajun Heart mint UK demo for 100 and a Ronnie Hilton Laughing Gnome by a dealer...bought the Laughing Gnome and Berts and meant to get the Cajun a month later...I misplaced my diary with the dealers number and I'm still looking for it.This was 5 years ago.

Had 3 x UK demo

3 x USA demo

1 x USA issue

never had a sniff of a UK orange issue

what a record

Pete have you ever seen a British issue ? I've never seen one now that would be a nice record to own.

I've seen a couple of uk orange issues go through the bay, interestingly,I had a stone mint uk demo, yet it had the faintest split second skip half way through, that you wouldn't notice unless you were really listening, and then I listened to another demo copy, and it did the same! I reckon the uk demos are flawed!

Mine is exactly the same. When you play it you know when it's coming and look around to see if anyone noticed and it seems like they haven't it's like a secret thing only  demo owners know about ........er .....unless non owners have just read this . Out of interest how much did the orange originals go for dobber ?

British or American either way it's a fabulous number. I've always loved this record and still fills the floor and would put this in my top ten easily.

Haha...yes it makes you cringe waiting for it,hoping it might not do it,but it does! You would have to own it to know it! The issues show up on popsike, but I imagine a nice orange copy would be in the realms of £400?

Really ? that seems cheap for a rare British record I'd love to see one . thank you .I had a quick fix on you tube a minute ago and just as the brass comes in .......nothing  , you know the exact spot that strange bump and you have another look to see if there's a lump in the vinyl and nothing. great stuff mate.

What a record, on any format..... that voice... bloody awesome.

It's more as if it was dubbed from a US 45, and the master jumped or was knocked during the instrumental break (rather than a fault causing the demo to jump itself).  What do you think?

It does sound like a one groove skip doesn't it.  The record itself definitely doesn't jump so yes, bad master!
