I don't agree Steve, it's very hard to find an original that is stamped on both sides.

that arterials is one of the rarest and best sweet soul records, worth way more than that, wish i was paying attention.

Funny you should say that but I found a German test pressing white label complete with cover in Paris in the late 80s.....10 Francs. :
A Northern Soul 45 that enjoys legendary status after spending most of the 70s as an All-Nighter Monster, which ironicaly hardly any of the most prominent DJ’s of the era ever owned, until it was honored with a SS California bootleg.
Before you today in the insanely elusive ORIGINAL with a machine stamped matrix. The equally impressive flipside which has in more recent times rose into most-wanted category of it’s own, with a more subtle mid-tempo “Crossover” style of vocal-group Northern Soul. (note 1st. mix 101 - A)
Not many 45s can boast such quality on two sides & strut their rarity for over 4 decades and actualy debut this now 15 year old auction.
So click the soundfile and listen to the depth of studio skills this 45 bristles with, Jimmy Conwell, Sir Hank Graham & Codoy Colbert are in inspired form.
NOTE: This copy has light surface marks and light wear to the label. But is every note a very worthy auction listing, as so few collectors can boast ownership.
Listen to the double soundfile lifted directly off this disc, and carefully view the time-served labels.. we still think it’s a rather special listing.. don’t you?

The lady that made grown men cry, during her performance at Cleethorpes Weekender. (me included)
So when the Sax-God Mike Terry joins forces with Ollie McLaughlin the sublime vocals gifts of Barbara Lewis are given the fine detailed attention they demand, we are treated to Chicago session of infinite quality.
Check out the random soundfile selection underlining just how “stand-Out” this album is and such a fine tribute to one of the most-accomplish Soul-Sisters of all time.
So I’ll leave the most important reason for ownership of this album until the last; it includes the LP only track “THE STARS” totally perfect Northern Soul you could wish to experience; so it had to received a late 90s 45 release on the British Horace’s label.
No matter how outrageously majestic “THE STARS” is, this LP is so much more that just that one track, no matter how superior it is…listen and enjoy one of the “GREATS” at her work.

SHRINE TIME!
Lets start the New Year as we intend to go on - bringing you RARE SOUL in fine, fine condition.
This is a flawless copy of one hellish elusive 45 in this most-wanted series.
We’ll kick off with the A-side - a typically potent SHRINE recording with full orchestra arrangement, shrill Girl-Group chorus elevating at every opportunity the horn crammed arrangement, fine D.C. Northern.
But let’s turn our focus to a masterpiece hidden on the flipside. This is not BEAT BALLAD HEAVEN it soars far and beyond BB HEAVEN into a previously uncharted waters of the big production… just genius!
The gentle start gives no indications of how this gargantuan is gonna swell and ejaculate all manner of soul-greatness into your lap. Sidney’s low groan expands into a snarling growl as he follows the arrangement from one peak to another even higher range. Kettle drums, horns and some madly possessed girls endorsing Sidney’s lead, with shrieking-soul approval.
For me Beat Ballad Utopia does not get any better than this.. AWESOME brilliance on a flipside - that’s SHRINE for you.
