Its hard to take that my friend is no longer here.....

i have known Jimmy for most of my life..

together with Fred Dicky Dickinson they put up with a snot nosed 11 year old kid,,,,,took me my first all nighter when i was 13 yrs old... in 1969...

made me grow up ... taught me manners and respect..... we shared .. laughter .. battles.. and rarely tears...

He was proud to be godfather to my children,,,,,

His were the records we used to play at Va Va s ..... his was the first face that i looked for if i needed someone to watch my back......

he knew exactly how to handle any situation .. what to do, what to say ...

To his friends he was a gentleman... to people he didnt like he was an evil ..so and so ......

he gave respect to any man and demanded the same in return.... ,,,,

when in Bolton Hospice .. he said that The Macmillan Nurses had been Brilliant with him .... and wanted to do something for them .....

As a result  charity Northern Soul All Dayer.was arranged .. On Sunday The 29th December At Hardy Hall , Little Lever , Bolton ...

For some who didnt know Jimmy Muirhead it was a charity fundraiser .....

For those that did ..It  was a chance to celebrate the life and memory of Icon and Mentor, Original Soulie and Gentleman... ... Jimmy...

Will miss you "Old Guy" .. Brent ,,

Will miss you Uncle Jimmy.... Ethan , Sol and Vanna.. x

Remember Jimmy from as far back as Bolton Palais and Cromwellian days.

Even though I have not seen him for a very long time, I can still

picture him with his trademark denim jeans and jacket going to the Palais.

Brent I probably know you because Fred Dicky first took me to the wheel

around 1969.

Anyway Jimmy R.I.P

Regards Carl...

Remember Jimmy from my teenage years way back in the late 60's early 70's.......brings back lots of happy memories from a great era. Was so sad to hear of his passing. One of Bolton's gems....xx
