I've been really enjoying both versions of the classic "Ordinary Joe"...Terry Callier and Jasmine Kara. Does anyone know of any other songs that sound like this song?

Jerry Butler if you mean another version

Thanks Graham....great version...but I am looking for songs that "sound-like" Ordinary Joe...similar beat-rhythm and melody. Thanks.

Brilliant re-working of the backing track.............

Harvey Averne Dozen - Central Park

Came out twice on the label, slightly different takes.

Excellent choice! Thanks.

There's a gospel song on Hob is Gospel by a Chicago group that uses much of the same tune……Greater Bethlehem Young Adult Choir of Chicago "Can you feel the spirit" - pretty good it is too - one to look out for if you don't know it and like a bit of soulful gospel and like choirs singing a contemporary number.

"Ordinary Joe" is one of the best tunes ever set to wax. Never tire of hearing it.

Here's my vote for a tune with a very similar feel, wonderful LP-only Jerry Butler "Stop Steppin' On My Dreams"

Leslie Drayton feat. Barbara Morrison "When Will You Be Mine".

On the 'Love Is A Four Letter Word" LP and I think LP only?
