Looking for a certain record as most of us do from time to time :lol:

Dewey Black - Takin' love where I find it (Reeflair) & I came across this playlist? I don't normally trawl down DJ lists but this seems to be one of them nights to remember. I wasn't in attendance but drooling over this play list, I certainly wish I had been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now Now Gentlemen You'll probably be wishing each other a Happy New Year Shortly?

I Like the record & as usual I'm not bothered who's played it out or to death because as per, if the said DJ's never played it out, I wouldn't have got to hear it & like it.

You're right, we had this conversation before, I put it on a tape in 94 or 95 off Mick Smith's copy which I later sold for him.

Not the same old arguement at all.......a dj playing it very very occasionally  so much so that all but the odd person knew it is not the same as making it a dance floor anthem.....the dj,s that played it on the odd occasion  obviously had no faith in it  otherwise they'd have got behind it..........go on!... now tell me they did!.........because it would be a lie      :D

Very true, some records just don't take off until they get the right person behind them

I wouldn't say it was right DJ just that at the time the crowd wasn't probably ready.  Andy Dyson played it for quite some time but it never really took off, this was at packed all nighters at the time of Sheridan's, Lifeline, Soultown, the same crowd and more that frequents the venue Tezza is talking about.   Like I said it was played by other DJ's and dropped for whatever reason, they moved on, other DJ's and the dancers eventually catch on, tastes change and mature with age :)

I don't think it matters one iota who plays it, if records like this can go mainstream there might be hope for the future.  All decent records eventually have their day.

The records in those Dj playlists reminds me of the sounds being played in the mid to late 80ts, great years with great records.

Good to see the Upfronts being spun. What was the colour of the 1st press "light blue "  ?

Like that "Stoned on love" number too (managed to get one a few years back ).

Certainly my kind of sounds, all winners !
