Just a warning on a certain seller which i also posted in sales.

Back in Nov he put up a sales list and i was quickly on to a record a mate needed for his collection.

Payment was paid straight away and the record was ready to go.

The sold sign was up straight away so other collectors would know it had gone.

Next thing i know is the seller telling me the record is lost and he would have to refund my payment.

I already have this 45 in my collection, but my mate had looked for over 20 years for a copy.

Not a problem you would think, but he was telling lies as he later sold the record on to another collector and so called friend for a better price.

The issue i have with this is the seller telling blatant lies and a fellow collector that is so desperate for a record he would

do this knowing the record had been sold.

So many sellers and fellow collectors are fantastic people but sadly there are those who are not.

Glad to be getting out of the scene and incidents like this have made it that much easier.

Merry Xmas

Micky, this seller tried pulling a `wrong one` to a mate of mine by telling him a dealer who he bought a record off,was bad at gradings etc so he would pull out the deal leaving Soulinstitution  to get the record at a cheaper price. My mate didn`t listen and done the deal, the record was clean/mint. Think collectors/dealers need to give this person a wide berth   .

Wayne i hope you are Ok mate.

Good shout as collectors we shell out a lot of money on our passion and we need dealers to be honest.

Merry Xmas to you and your family.

Not the first time this has happened be nice to know who it is

Yep very true, had this happen when I purchased a tune for a friend only to be told he'd accepted £30 more from somebody else after agreeing price, I managed to get my mate one for £30 less than he actually wanted, so all's well etc. They did this with houses in the 80's, Gazumping, that was frowned upon also. :hatsoff2:

Spot. :shades:
