Soul-slider
All the Inner Mind 45s on Hot Lead are worth in between £5-£30. Not sure about the one you have as I've never heard it. I can ask Marc Griffiths over on the Pama forum if you like as I know he is an expert on this group. Link to comment Social source share

Soul-slider
No need retiring yet Julian, they are both in the low end of my guesstimate. Link to comment Social source share
Julianb
Too late - retired last year! Didn't think they would be worth much, but always better to ask. Many thanks Julian Link to comment Social source share
Derek Pearson
Hey up Julian - Hot Lead was a Dewsbury, West Yorkshire based Reggae label from the early 1970's. Most if not all of the recordings were done at King Street Studios in Huddersfield. I found a handful of 45s on this label a few years ago and not found any since. Derek After a number of singles on various Pama labels, Ian Smith set up a tiny UK reggae label (Shades) in 1971, with just two releases. Both singles were by his house band - The Inner Mind, one of the very few white Reggae bands at that time. He soon launched his Hot Lead label out of Dewsbury, West Yorkshire in 1972. Eighteen records were issued between 1972 (HL 1) and 1974 (HL 19); HL 13 was not issued. https://www.45cat.com/label/hot-lead Link to comment Social source share
Kegsy
Beat me to it Derek, I remember seeing these around 1970 probably at the Textile Hall in Bradford. Kegsy Link to comment Social source share
Soul-slider
There are a few by the Inner Mind that sell quite well to old skinheads. 'Reggae Limits' & 'Doggy Bite Postman' are 2 which spring to mind. Link to comment Social source share
Pete S
Nothing on Hot Lead to get excited about I'm afraid. I'm sure Little Stevie's Dad had a record or played on a record on the Hot Lead label. The Inner Mind had a live album on Pama. They were said to be the best white Reggae band in the UK. Soul-slider
I think the most popular one by the group is on 'Shades'....'Jesse James Rides Again' or something like that? Link to comment Social source share
