Gene-r Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 (edited) How's this? A Pensylvania garage 45 worth about £20 sharing the group name and title with a four-figure holy grail 45! I wonder how many record dealers in the States have been sent on a wild goose chase, having been asked to look for "What'Cha Gonna Do" by the "Combinations", and then finding this and thinking 'job done'?. The 'holy grail' one is right up there with the very best amphetamine fuelled stormers.

The Combenashuns is nothing like the Combinations I'm afraid, Jaco! The proverbial "chalk and cheese" in fact! It's a garage track with a lead vocalist who sounds like Eric Burdon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tAhjjTugXk Edited December 17, 2013 by Gene-R

See from the tube that they have a Vietnam protest song too. Think I'll give that a miss. 1

Reforee Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I think there's a few soundalike group names..........seem to remember a Temp-ta-shuns? Some years back now so can't recall the label, might still have it somewhere gathering dust. Might be a good thread to start a soundalike groups? Dave
