Russ Vickers
Wondered how much this goes for these day's. Also any history too, who played first & where would be good if any one knows, unless its never really had an airing which I very much doubt. Also, do you rate it for those who dont know it here goes: https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Phyllis_Brown_-_Oh_Baby.ram Play at full volume with bass cranked & hit the floor (well kitchen floor maybe) Thanks for any info............enjoy. Pete S
Was usually 100-125, then 150, then loads turned up in 'the find' and there was one on Ebay every week. But I'd want 150 for mine. I think John Vincent was the first to try and break it, I have him playing it on a Wigan tape (2nd anniversary) but I don't think I ever heard it played out, ever. She made a couple of other nice records as well didn't she, I've got something on my mind being one.. Link to comment Social source share

Russ Personally I much prefer the b side 'why'. a quality track as a bonus if you buy it for the 'oh baby' side, but to my taste much cooler. Guest Simon
I quite rate it & the flip 'Why' also, i've played both sides at dos before & neither have received much warmth from the crowd, probably the sort of record a 'big' dj needs to start playing then i'm sure everyone will love it The only other person i've heard play it out in recent times was Cookie at a 'Southern soul movement' do a couple of years ago, don't think anyone danced to it then either!
