Hi LarsC, Unfortunately, I cannot help you with any of the above BUT you might be able to help ME, especially seeings how you collect Invictus. Can you tell me if General Johnson - Gods Gift To Man came out on a 45? Either as a regular release, or as a withdrawn single sided or same sided Demo, whatever? Thanks in advance, Denbo.

If you're lucky there's a testpress or european issue floating around, it has happened before with this label. Good song, let me know if you find a copy

Guest Johnny Mack Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Lars Sure I've saw a Just Bros issue on EBay at about GBP 4 or 5 yesterday. Condition was better on side than the other -would do as a label filler - try a search ! Good song, let me know if you find a copy Thanks LarsC, but I don't think I fully understood what you said. When you said "If you're lucky there's a testpress or european issue floating around, it has happened before with this label." did you mean there IS a testpress or european issue floating around, or did you mean there MIGHT be a testpress or european issue floating around? Just want to be FULLY clear about this before I start building my hopes up. Cheers matey, DENBO.

Phild Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 I have a spare Just Brothers. I don't know price either. I also have quite a number of Hot Wax, Invictus, Music Merchant test pressings and quality control presses (from Capitol Record pressing, Sonic productions etc etc) including a number of unreleased items (one Eloise Laws track is stunning). Of any interest? Cheers Phil

Most of these test presses don't have artist or title info just matrix and/or release no's Cheers Phil

Anoraks Corner Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Do you know if General Johnson's 'Gods Gift To Man' was released on a Japanese 45? Not to my knowledge, squire...if I learn to the contrary you'll be first to hear about it!
Larsc Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 This thread is getting old but I'm still looking for these: HS 7112 SILENT MAJORITY Something New About You / Colours Of My Love (issue copy) MS 1008 JUST BROTHERS Things Will Be Better Tomorrow / Sliced Tomatoes (issue copy) MS 1016 RAYNEL WYNGLAS Bar-B-Q Ribs (Vocal) / (Instrumental) (issue copy) Not interested in demos with same song on both sides (already have those).
Denbo Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Not to my knowledge, squire...if I learn to the contrary you'll be first to hear about it! So, you don't have a Japanese Invictus label discography then, to confirm or deny its release?
Anoraks Corner Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 So, you don't have a Japanese Invictus label discography then, to confirm or deny its release? Sadly, no. I haven't been able to track down any definitive label listings for J-releases at all, so I'm piecing them together myself! Fun, frustrating and seemingly endless..LOVE IT!
