Hi. After being sick for a while (still recovering...) and missing my show for a month, I’m back with a special 2 ½ hour Sitting in the Park show. I played a wide range of music -- funky ‘60s and ‘70s soul, female deep soul, tons of ‘70s sweet soul, some rare groove sounds, some uptempo ‘70s and early ‘80s, and a set of classic ‘60s Chicago and sweet soul (a bonus at the end not in the playlist). I also played a lot of excellent music that was recently released -- discoveries of lost ‘70s tapes and even new recordings. Check it out at:

You can listen to other shows and interviews with Chicago groups by going to my main page www.sittinginthepark.com Also, if someone you know wants to subscribe to this email list, they can add themselves at the following URL:

thanks,

Welcome back Bob, show has been a real miss, for me, from the outstanding Sherrell Bros onwards, fantastic stuff, that, Myron, Denise, Ella, Brenda, Unnatural Funk Band, Calvi Harris, Valdons, Curtis Gray and Eddie McCloyd all outstanding, however as I type listening to the Naturals which sounds nice, realised while I was listening, Fir-Ya although completely different in production and arrangement etc sounded like the same lyrics as one of my all time fave records, George Perkins-Keep on trying on GPR. Great show Bob, thanks Hang on, Whispers Needle in a haystack playing now, outstanding, and now Lee Williams, Peepin through the window-Carnival
